Administration
The administration office serves as the administrative arm of Miami County government. The office of the county administrator plays a key roll in:
- Strategic planning for Miami County organization
- Ensuring and valuing excellence in public service
- Fostering partnerships with our citizens and community leaders
- Preparing Miami County's annual budget
- Executing all resolutions, orders, and policies of the elected board of county commissioners
- Coordinating and administering the work of departments, agencies, etc. under the direct jurisdiction or fiscal control of the board of county commissioners
- Serves as liaison between the citizens of Miami County and the board of county commissioners
County Administrator
The County Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management of Miami County government as the chief administrative officer, and is accountable to the board of county commissioners. The county administrator:- Implements and administers policies established by the board of county commissioners, including the county budget
- Supervises appointed department heads
- Provides support for the board of county commissioners' initiatives and programs
- Responds to citizen requests
- Interacts with county elected officials, other governmental agencies, and community groups
- Prepares commission agendas
