The Miami County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank you for your interest in our agency. As the chief law enforcement officer in the county, the sheriff is required by state law to perform four specific duties, including:
  • Serving civil and criminal process papers
  • Keeping the peace
  • Providing protection for county residents
  • Keeping those behind bars secure


The Miami County Sheriff’s Office currently employs one Sheriff, one Undersheriff, two Captains, one Executive Assistant, ten Sergeants, twenty-three Deputy Sheriff's, twenty-one Deputy Jailers, twelve Dispatchers, one Records Clerk, one Registered Nurse, one Custodian, one Information Technology, one Emergency Management Coordinator, seven part time Deputy Sheriff's, two part time Records Clerks, one part time Maintenance, one part time Licensed Practical Nurse and one part time Information Technology.
