Broadband
Internet services within Miami County range from fiber to the home connectivity to DSL services. The cities of Louisburg, Osawatomie, Paola and Spring Hill offer multiple options from an array of providers. Within the unincorporated areas, fiber to the home is being rolled out in some areas and point-to-point wireless is also available.

Training Opportunities
The skills needed to safely use digital devices evolve daily. Building digital skills is a process. The Paola Adult Education Center, ECKAN, My Father's House and local libraries each offer a variety of classes and services for all skill levels. Many of the classes are offered in person.
Classes ranging from basic skills to cyber security certifications are available via remote training. Regional providers include:

If you are a provider considering a project within the unincorporated area of Miami County or the City of Fontana, it will be important to connect with the Miami County Road & Bridge Department to secure the necessary permits. For work within the cities of Louisburg, Paola, Osawatomie or Spring Hill. contact the appropriate City Hall for information.
Broadband Ready Community
Miami County has been designated a Kansas Broadband Ready Community for the unincorporated area and the City of Fontana. This designation is a cue to providers that the county has a streamlined process in place that meets the state's standards for certification.
