Who Benefits from STEAM Programs?

The STEAM programs listed on this page are designed to benefit students attending public schools in Miami County.

Job Shadowing and Internships in Miami County

Miami County is served by multiple K-12 public school districts that have each embraced career focused and technical learning. Each of them offers various options including job shadowing and internships. Classroom speakers and workplace tours are also encouraged.

What is Job Shadowing?

Job shadow opportunities pair a student with a professional in their identified field of interest. The student spends a time with the professional observing their work environment, typical tasks, and challenges. It provides one-on-one time for the students to learn more about what a job in their field of interest might include.

How can I learn more?

Job shadowing and internship programs have different requirements depending on the school the student attends.

Paola High School: Internship and Job Shadow Program.

Louisburg High School: Job Shadow Program

Osawatomie High School: Job Shadow Program

Spring Hill High School: Internship and Job Shadow Program
